Our medical and nursing staff at Shrewsbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (SNRC) is made up of dedicated care givers with all the experience and patience required to provide the best care for your loved one. Every member of the team comes to us with outstanding credentials from top schools, teaching hospitals and medical facilities, and each has made it his or her life’s commitment to provide quality medical care to the elderly.

Nursing home care provided by the Center spans a wide range of geriatric care to include: cardiac and pulmonary recovery, diabetes management, IV therapy, post surgical care, wound management, geriatric behavioral care, hospice and respite care. In addition, long term nursing and rehabilitative care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our own skilled nursing services.

Meet our Doctor and Senior Nursing staff:

Zahra Sheikh, MD, MPH, is Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Sheikh is a Fellowship trained geriatrician with special interest in managing geriatric syndromes, including cognitive impairments, falls and incontinence. Dr. Sheikh holds a Masters in Public Health – Epidemiology from New York Medical College and is actively involved in medical education.

Suhasini R. Iyer, MD, is an Instructor in Medicine at UMass Medical School. Dr. Iyer is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in geriatrics and internal medicine.

Linda Pellegrini, BS, MS, is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with clinical expertise in pain control, end of life care, and the treatment of dementia.

Ms. Pellegrini's clinical practice encompasses UMass Memorial, Notre Dame LTC,
and Shrewsbury Nursing Home.
